We’re often asked when we’re coming to Sydney. The answer is very simply that land costs are just too high for us to be able to deliver affordable housing in well-serviced areas of the city — until now.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Nightingale is somewhat of an outlier in the profit-driven property sector. Understandably, we’re asked a lot of questions about this. In April 2021, we gained not-for-profit status, cementing what we’ve been practicing since we began. It is now enshrined in our constitution that Nightingale can never ever be monetised, that it will always be about people and never about profit. View our constitution here.
