Nightingale Marrickville wins 2024 Urban Land Institute Global Award for Excellence

We’re proud to announce Nightingale Marrickville as the Global Winner of the 2024 Urban Land Institute’s Awards for Excellence. This award celebrates groundbreaking urban developments with a focus on inclusive design, innovative funding, adaptive reuse, and sustainability.

This milestone marks the first purpose-built affordable build-to-rent project by Nightingale Housing, Fresh Hope Communities, and SJB. The project includes 54 homes and two commercial spaces, delivering a unique community where rents are capped at 80% of the local market rate—making quality urban living more accessible.

Nightingale Marrickville showcases:

  • Sustainability: Prioritising low-impact design and energy efficiency.
  • Community Impact: Adaptive reuse and design supporting both residents and the wider community.
