Located at the corner of Nicholson and Miller Streets, Nightingale Brunswick East by ClarkeHopkinsClarke is just 5km from Melbourne’s CBD, with easy access to trams, local parks and the Merri Creek trail. Recycled or recyclable materiality was the main inspiration for the rectilinear form and aesthetic of the building. At ground level, recycled brick grounds the building whilst extending past the first floor to create a greater sense of height. Perforated metal cladding expresses the relationship to the previous industrial context of the site.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which Nightingale 1 stands. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture.

Meet a resident

Honestly, I’m not going to say the lockdowns were easy or fun by any stretch, however, there were definitely fun moments and living here meant we were much less isolated. We were counting our lucky stars to live in such a tight-knit community.
